Zongze Chen works with design, code, and electronics. His practice is guided by a wish to understand what it means to be truthful to existence, and where to place technology in this confrontation.



I studied cognitive science and art. One trains me to break things apart, the other to see them whole. I move between the two — analysis and intuition, structure and vision.

Coding is my language for thought. Making objects is my way back to presence. Connecting them moves me in spaces between.

Sometimes, I make sculptures. Sometimes, I make nothing. They are pauses — quiet places where thought can consolidate its presence.
