An inflatable lamp with no button

Reimagine a lamp such that its functionality and interface become one. No button is needed - just press on the soft silicone membrane. The design also aims to give “light” a volumetric presence in the space by using inflatable materials. When the light is awoken, it grows and expands, like energy. The volume symbolizes the order of nature, the rise and fall of energy.
Interaction is enabled by an air pressure sensor that is embedded inside the lamp. A sudden increase in pressure triggers the lamp to inflate or deflate. You can poke it, squish it, smash it, or gently press it. Two 5V air pumps were used to control the air flow.
The exterior is made of a thin layer of platimun-catalyzed silicone which is translucent and soft.
